Children Cancer Charities
At the 1974 Convention, Tri Delta adopted Children's Cancer Charities as its chosen philanthropy. Children's Cancer Charities is not an organization itself, but encompasses many charitable organizations. This allows chapters and members to support local organizations as well as Tri Delta's partner St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Since 1974, Tri Delta has raised more than $14 million in support of various Children's Cancer charities, including hospitals, research facilities and camps. St. Judes Children's Research Hospital
In November 1999, Tri Delta officially partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In September 2002, Tri Delta agreed to raise $1 million in four years for the hospital's Teen Room. The Teen Room is a place where patients can get away from doctors, nurses and parents and be with kids their own age. Tri Delta exceeded expectations and completed the endowment in January 2005. In July 2006, Tri Delta announced their new goal - to raise $10 million over the next 10 years to name the Patient Care Floor in the new Chili's Care Center which Tri Delta completed in 4 years rather than 10 making the goal $10 million by 2010. Our new goal with St. Jude is $15 Million in 5 years. The Tri Delta Patient Care Floor includes 18 inpatient suites featuring adjoining parent rooms with windows into patient rooms, private baths for the patient and their family and two flat screen TVs. The floor is also home to the hospital's main pharmacy, two nurse stations, a family lounge, an education office, a teen room and a play area.
Currently we are ahead of schedule on our $15 million in 5 year goal, nationally over the past year raising over $5 Million.

The Alpha Alpha Chapter's Contribution's
The Alpha Alpha Chapter has many events to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Some of these events include our Annual Bachelor Auction, Carnations for a Cure, LIAC Bowl-a-thon, and Alex's Lemonade Stand. All of the Proceeds from these events go directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. During the 2010-2011 year the Alpha Alpha Chapter raised over $10,000 for St. Jude.
